Students Engage One Another During Grade 9 Retreat
October 2, 2018
The Class of 2022 had their class retreat over two days - September 27 and 28 - at St. Peter's Church in Mendota. Leading the retreat were the 9th Grade Values teachers, the Campus Ministry team, the senior and junior Link Crew leaders, and special guests Ms. Katie Shead and Mr. Aaron Benner. "The love and care for one another, as God loves and cares for each of us" was the focus of the retreat. Each day began with Mass celebrated by Fr. John Forliti and concluded with prayer. The retreat was filled with games and group conversations designed to help students get to know their classmates and teachers.
Campus Minister Mr. Peter Gleich said, “The students’ engagement with the day, the respect shown to their peers and the staff, and their commitment to being a class that helps all feel welcome, safe, and valued, was inspiring.”
