Your Help is Needed - Give Today
April 22, 2020
The economic effects of the coronavirus shutdown have impacted millions, including many Cretin-Derham Hall families. Many of our families are facing challenging financial circumstances, due to job loss, furloughs, or a reduction in work hours. Obviously, this impacts their ability to pay for a CDH education.
Cretin-Derham Hall has served our community for 169 years and has faced countless challenges, including the 1852 Cholera epidemic and the Spanish Flu of 1918, to name a few. We have always been committed to providing a quality education even in times of crisis.
When Minnesota schools closed in mid-March, we transitioned quickly to Online School, and are now more than a month into providing education online. Our students have been forced to quickly adapt to new learning realities and they miss the sense of community they treasure on campus. This is a difficult situation, but we are so proud that our faculty is deeply committed to our students and have responded with innovation, a can-do spirit, and an inspiring level of concern.
CDH has always pulled together in challenging times and now is no different. Once again, we are humbled and grateful that we have heard from many of you asking what you might do to help.
We have established the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund to help families struggling to make their tuition payments. We will be holding a special Give Day on May 5 to raise money for these families, but you don't need to wait until then to give! If you are able, please make a gift today. Your money will go a long way towards helping these families remain a part of our community.
Thank you! Go Raiders!
