Ari Evans Earns Athena Award
April 8, 2022
The St. Paul Area Athena Awards program honors outstanding female high school senior student-athletes. The award is based on excellence in individual sports or for participation and accomplishments in team sports. This year's winner from Cretin-Derham Hall is Ari Evans '22!
Evans plays soccer, lacrosse, and hockey and is a Captain in all three sports. She has a 4.05 GPA and is on the President's List. She is also an active volunteer, serving at Feed My Starving Children, Substance Church Food Shelf, and Valley Outreach. Evans attended St. Anthony Village Middle School.
"Ari is a fierce competitor, but I believe her greatest attribute is the leadership she brings," said Ryan Bonikowske, Strength & Performance Coach. "Ari is a verbal leader, a leader that leads by example, and someone who pushes her teammates to be their best. Ari is respected and supported by coaches and teammates at CDH. She is a great role model for younger athletes within these programs. This kind of impact I believe is one reason why these programs have found success during Ari's four years at CDH. Ari is someone who will give it her all for her team."
Congratulations on this honor!
