BEAN Alumni Connect with Students

Our BEAN (Black Excellence Alumni Network) members have created a mentorship program for alumni to mentor current students. This program allows current students to build connections with the CDH community and network with professionals. Some of the topics that are covered are long-term & short-term goal setting, personal branding, and healthy school habits etc. The conversations amongst the alumni and current students are tailored around how to be successful at CDH, but also giving them insight on success outside the CDH doors. It is important for students to see alumni that look like them doing positive things in the community. It allows the students to envision themselves doing the same thing which builds a deeper connection with the school community.
