A Busy Season for Class Reunions

September 28, 2022

Derham Hall '62 Reunion

Cretin, Derham Hall and Cretin-Derham Hall alumni were busy hosting several in-person reunions this past summer and early fall. Everyone was excited to meet again in person and reconnect with their friends and classmates!

50- and 60-Year Reunions for Cretin and Derham Hall

The 50- and 60-year reunions were held the week of September 19-25, with gatherings on the CDH campus and at local venues around town.

Sixteen members of the Derham Hall Class of '62 gathered for a 60th Reunion Luncheon in September. More than 50% of the surviving class members were able to gather. This group holds a unique place in school history as the last class to graduate from the beautiful St. Kate’s campus.

The Cretin Class of '62 started their reunion with a tour of the new CDH Ryan STEM center, funded with a significant lead donation by Ron '62 and Patty Ryan. The group then enjoyed a couples dinner, golf and a stag to round out their reunion activities.

The Cretin and Derham Hall Classes of 1972 had a big 50-year anniversary weekend and enjoyed many activities. One of the activities was a Mass here at CDH in the Blessed Brother James Miller Chapel attended by both Cretin and Derham Hall '72 alumni, followed by brunch in the CDH Commons.

Their reunion activities also included a dinner, stag gatherings, golf and homecoming game fun! The Derham Hall Class of 1972 celebrated with 60 women at the Pool and Yacht Club. Many people traveled from all across the United States for the event.

Other Class Reunions

The CDH Class of '92 started their reunion with a Mass at Holy Spirit followed by a great gathering at Shamrocks.

The CDH Class of 2002 also gathered this month at the Pool and Yacht Club.

If you have information on other class reunions that happened this past year, please share information and a photo to news@c-dh.org!

Reunion Classes Give Back

While it is great to reconnect, reunions are also a great time to give back to Cretin-
Derham Hall with a financial gift.  Many classes choose to coordinate their gifts. For instance, the Cretin Class of 1950 dedicated their 60 year anniversary class gift to renovating what is now the Blessed Brother James Miller Chapel. The Cretin Class of 1957 gift was designated to emergency tuition for current students and families.

Many Derham Hall reunion classes also designate their reunion gift to tuition assistance or other
causes.

The CDH Class of '92 had a great reunion this year and designated their class gift to tuition assistance for students in memory of the four deceased members of the Class of '92.

We love our alumni and it is so wonderful to hear about what they are doing and to see the joy found in reconnecting year after year. CDH could not be what it is today without their generous support throughout the years.
