December Blood Drive Makes a Difference

December 22, 2022

On December 16, the last day before Christmas break, the student council held their annual blood drive in the Joe Mauer Field House. Students, faculty, staff and parents streamed in throughout the day to donate blood.

Our CDH community collected 84 units, potentially saving up to 252 lives! "This is really incredible for our first drive of the year," said Daria Kushnir-Hansen from Memorial Blood Centers. "We had lots of walk-ins and donors willing to do double-red cell donations, which really helped."

Our students are always up for jumping in to help. Donating blood is a great way for them to make a difference in the lives of people in need.
