Homecoming 2019 was One to Remember

October 9, 2019

CDH's annual Homecoming week was Sept. 30 - Oct. 5. It brought tons of fun and a great chance to celebrate being a Raider!

Students were not required to wear their uniforms and instead got to enjoy a variety of dress-up days. They showed off their creativity with Cozy Day, Beach Day, Preppy Day, Decade Day, and Raider Pride day. Check out the slideshow at the bottom of this article for more pictures!

Throughout the week, the Student Council collected coats, hats, gloves, and other cold-weather attire to donate to people in need.

The school came together for an annual Homecoming Mass on Tuesday.  Fr. Patrick Kennedy '69 reminded students and faculty/staff of the blessings of our sense of 'home' here at CDH, and also how many alumni continue to call this place 'home' even after graduation.

On Friday, the annual Pepfest included lip-synch performances, dances by teachers, team captains, and the Performance Dance Team (joined by the football team for one number), cheers, games, and a ton of Raider spirit!

The junior and senior girls competed in a well-attended PowderPuff football game after school on Friday. This was the first time CDH has held a PowderPuff game in years.

On Friday night, the football team played Mounds View and honored the 1999 and 2009 state championship football teams.

The annual Homecoming dance was held on Saturday night at CDH and was a great finish to a spirited week!
