JROTC Travels to Camp Ripley For Annual Encampment

October 2, 2017
Over 80 JROTC students, as well as their instructors, traveled to Camp Ripley for our annual encampment from September 22-24, 2017. The weekend is student-run by our senior leaders who select teams and provide leadership for our events.
On Saturday, the students participated in an Orienteering event, challenging themselves by negotiating the obstacle course. They also enjoyed seeing the history of Minnesota's contribution to our nation's defense by visiting the museum at Camp Ripley. After dinner, we held a prayer service and then the kids teamed up and competed in a Dodgeball Tournament. Every single event was really fun and they were able to get to know each other better.
Sunday, we cleaned up our building and traveled home. Our 2017 encampment was a grand success!
