NBA Championship Coach Kevin Eastman to Speak at CDH

The Cretin-Derham Hall Athletic Department is pleased to announce that Kevin Eastman, NBA Championship Coach and Motivational Speaker, will be speaking at Cretin-Derham Hall on Monday, October 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Joe Mauer Fieldhouse. Dr. John Tauer’91, Professor and Head Basketball Coach at the University of St. Thomas, will host this event. Admission is free and open to the public. Student-athletes are especially encouraged to attend.
Coach Eastman's topic will be "Why the Best are the Best: An Inside Look into the DNA of a Champion." He will challenge each person, especially the student-athletes, to understand the mindset and action of a true champion and how to apply this both on and off the court.
Eastman brings 35+ years of coaching experience as well as a pedigree in skill and leadership development that is sure to benefit student-athletes, coaches, and the broader community.
Eastman has spent several years as college head coach before working with Nike and then on to the NBA where he was a coach and executive for the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers. He also founded Coaching U, the most comprehensive coaching program featuring world-class speakers and championship coaches. He is known for working with the nation’s elite professional, college and high school players as well as multiple Fortune 500 companies in skill and leadership development.
