NHS Off to a Strong Start
September 17, 2019
CDH's chapter of National Honor Society recently held its first meeting. Co-presidents Lizzie Paterson '20 and Zoe Shearer '20 are leading the year with a theme of unity. Though it is often difficult to coordinate schedules for volunteering, they are committed to creating a unified chapter with several opportunities to volunteer together.
The 77 NHS members collectively volunteered more than 2000 hours this summer. This amount is far more than the required 25 hours required per member. Highlights of service included a service trip to Guatemala, serving at a health initiative in India, and CDH's own Project Home in July.
