All About PFP

The PFP mentors are looking forward to helping younger Raiders navigate high school.

People Finding People (PFP) is both an amazing opportunity for ninth and tenth graders at Cretin-Derham Hall to find older buddies that can help lead them through the ups and downs of high school and an opportunity for seniors to mentor the younger students.

As a ninth-grader or sophomore, you will meet with your PFP once a week. This time is scheduled for whatever you want. Your PFP is open to talking about anything.

When you sign up for PFP, you will get to choose from many amazing seniors.

The true purpose of PFP is to provide young students with some very valuable resources: friendship and a listening ear. Each PFP is extremely dedicated to their role as a mentor and is prepared to have both fun light talks and also deep and sometimes hard talks that will stay confidential.

Through a year-long class dedicated to senior PFP mentors, these seniors bond with each other as well as learn the dos and don’ts of mentoring.

The class started off the year with an overnight retreat, which consisted of innovative team building activities, fun games, and deep talks.

“The PFP retreat was a life-changing experience,” said Tyler Mader ‘22.

Each person in the class has been working to learn new skills of how to mentor. All 22 of us are so excited to get paired up with our ninth- and tenth-grade PFPS and form meaningful connections that can last a lifetime.

“PFP gave me such a great community and we want that for the underclassmen,” said Grace Wethington ‘22

Ninth and tenth graders interested in a mentor should fill out this form.
