 1940s

Don Omodt'45, the longest-serving sheriff in Hennepin County, passed away at the age of 89. Omodt was recognized in the Star Tribune. Read more.

1960s

Members of the Cretin Class of ’65 gathered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for Mardi Gras in 2017. 

The classmates caught beads and other trinkets tossed from the floats at the Spanish Town parade. Other sights on their trip included the WWII Museum and the French Quarter in New Orleans, Oak Alley Plantation in Vacherie, and the state capitol and LSU campus in Baton Rouge.

 

 

1970s

Dodie Duffy Green'79 and her sister Peggy Teed, owners of St. Paul Bagelry in Roseville, are hoping that residents in the Tangletown area will come and hang out.  Read more about their new location, opening in April.

 

Mike Scanlan'70, retired CDH football coach and guidance counselor, was inducted into the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame at their 53rd Annual Awards Banquet on April 1 at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis.

Inductees must have been a head coach for a minimum of fifteen years and have made significant contributions to Minnesota High School Football. 

At CDH, Scanlan was a guidance counselor and football coach. He has spent 16 years as a head football coach, five of them as a co-head coach, amassing a 154-28 career record. He led the Raiders to 12 state tournament appearances, winning two state championships in1999 and 2009 and four runner-up finishes. He has been named Conference and Section Coach of the Year several times, and in 2009, he was named the Class 5A State Coach of the Year.  He has coached and mentored hundreds of young football players, including eight players who have gone on to play in the NFL. Scanlan retired from CDH in 2016.

Mike Moynagh'85

 

CBRE Group, Inc. announced that Mike Moynagh'85, has been appointed as senior managing director to lead the firm’s Valuation & Advisory Services practice in the Upper Midwest Region.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Dan McQuillan'82, was named Mr. Pat for this year’s St. Patrick’s Parade in St. Paul.  He also made fellow Raider and former major league baseball umpire Tim Tschida'78 his honorary Irishman for the year.

 

1990s

Matt Birk'94 was inducted into the 33rd Sports Hall of Fame class at Mancini’s Char House in St. Paul on May 15 for Football. 

 

2000s

Maria Moores Watts'00 and family opened a new Batteries Plus Bulbs in Hudson, Wisconsin in March 2017. Read more.
