Students look at Cajas de Memoria

On Wednesday, 02 November, the Spanish 4 Honors students displayed their in the Library Learning  Center. These boxes honor someone who has died. This project coincides with Día de los Muertos, a 2-day celebration that celebrates death as part of the human experience. Día de los Muertos honors the dead with laughter and joy.

The project allowed students create a memory box and then display it for all to see. Along with each box is a student recording sharing a story of the honoree.

The boxes were on display for two weeks to allow the CDH community to view them and celebrate those who have died. The Spanish department wishes to thank Library Director Katie Johnson and Assistant Ruth Johnson for their help with this display.
