Goal is Surpassed for December Blood Drive

December 4, 2023

CDH held their annual blood drive on Friday, December 1 and it was a big success, surpassing the goal of 65 donors (there were 71 total) and including nine double-red donors, where two units of red blood cells are collected. They collected 80 pints of blood in total.

Memorial Blood Centers set up in the Joe Mauer field house for the event and there was a huge crew of  CDH volunteers on hand, including student ambassadors Katie Chestovich ‘24, Amanda Sargent ’24, several National Honors Society members and program coordinator Ms. Frances Sorensen.

Thank you to all of the donors and volunteers. According to Memorial Blood Centers, someone needs blood every 2 seconds.
