Mother-Daughter Luncheon - Fun Filled Memories

The 2016 Mother Daughter Lunch was a huge success this year!  After a little boutique shopping, nearly 500 mothers and their daughters sat to lunch at the University of St Thomas Wolfe Center.  In addition to honoring the senior mothers and daughters, we enjoyed a guest speaker this year as well. Dr. Deanna Thompson, a religion professor at Hamline University, shared her epiphany around using social media to reach out and care for others in what can be, literally, the virtual body of Christ.

All in all the event was filled with family, fun and memories.  Thank you to all of the Mothers & Daughters who helped make this event a huge success!

Upcoming Father-Daughter Dinner Dance

The Father-Daughter Dinner Dance is a fun-filled evening held at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown St. Paul. This event is sure to be a party you won’t want to miss! Mark your calendar for Saturday, January 21, 2017. All CDH girls and their fathers/guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend. The social hour gets under way at 6:00 p.m., along with father-daughter photos, dinner at 7:00 p.m., and dancing until 11:00 p.m. The celebration at the Intercontinental costs $40 per person, which includes dinner and entertainment for the evening. Food To Hogs

Hello CDH Parents!

We were given the opportunity to volunteer in the cafeteria from 11:05 to 12:45 to help with a new project called "Food for Hogs”.  Introduced to CDH by our very own CDH teacher Mr. Rob Peick, the program has caught the attention of many of our students!  Essentially, it’s managing food waste and recycling during the lunch periods and guiding the students. It was amazing to watch how educated and aware the kids are at following the rules of recycling knowing this simple act will help them care for our environment!

Sign up, come visit your kids and make the world a better place!

Parents’ Association Dues -Please help support annual PA events!

One important change this year to the Parents’ Association is that we will no longer benefit from the Target Red Card, as Target has decided to go in a different direction with their charitable giving. The PA events, which were subsidized significantly by those contributions, will need some financial backing from all of us at CDH. With that in mind, we are asking each family to pay dues to the Parents’ Association of $30 per family. This will help us to keep the cost of attendance at our events affordable for all and allow us to continue the great traditions that we have been able to enjoy for many years. To send payment please go to Parents’ Association page at www.c-dh.org. Thank you for supporting the CDH Parents’ Association!

Volunteers Needed

The Parents’ Association is already up and running, but we need your help.  Most chairs and co-chairs are already in place, but we need many volunteers to make each event a success! To register to volunteer online, go to the CDH Parents’ Association Volunteer webpage.
